Kirk Hammerton Village Hall is at the heart of our village where we have events, activities and clubs throughout the year.
Built in 1898, Kirk Hammerton Village Hall sits in a designated conservation area, directly opposite the beautiful ancient church with its striking Anglo-Saxon tower. Rich in character, the hall provides a charming and welcoming setting for a wide range of events.
The hall offers modern facilities including a spacious kitchen with new oven and industrial dishwasher, making it ideal for parties, celebrations, meetings and community activities.
The hall is fully accessible with step-free access and disabled toilet facilities.
As well as this, our recently refurbished Oak Room creates a calm and welcoming space. With a lovely outlook over open fields, this room is ideal for counselling, beauty therapy or similar uses, and can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people. It benefits from a separate entrance for added privacy and convenience.
We also have a small but very well-stocked library that is open to all on Monday’s and cafe days.
Outside, there is a lovely garden space which can be enjoyed during the summer months – perfect for extending events outdoors and making the most of warmer days; or indeed for enjoying a coffee and cake from our lovely weekend cafe.
While the hall itself does not have a dedicated car park (apart from two disabled-friendly spaces at the front), there is ample parking available in the surrounding area. The venue is also conveniently located just a seven-minute walk from Hammerton railway station, making it easily accessible for guests travelling from further afield.
Run by local volunteers the Kirk Hammerton Village Hall remains a much-valued hub for the community, hosting a variety of regular groups and events throughout the year.
